Due to limited number of accommodation places at the Fair Play Dance Camp campus, in 2017 we are forced to cancel the Fair Play Dance Camp Kids project. This year there will be no special program for the youngest participants of the festival.
But still, if your child is at least 11 years old and speaks basic English, it's worth to consider registering him/her for regular Fair Play Dance Camp agenda. For years we have observed a lot of the youngsters who practiced side to side with older participants (and often they had far better results). Children who participate in our camp have a chance to learn how to dance from the best, but most of all, they become a part of an exceptional event. During 10 days of the camp, they’ll get to know unique, inspiring individuals, soak in positive vibes, as well as see first-hand what impressive results does consistency and working on yourself bring.
It’s also a chance to establish new relations in an international environment of young dance enthusiasts, check and polish up on their language skills (don’t worry if your little treasure doesn’t speak fluent English, though, there will be translators among the children care takers).
All underage participants accommodated at the campus are under organised care. Our qualified tutors will keep watch over their safety and provide any help needed. The children will be accommodated with roommates of the same sex, in similar age and, if possible, of the same launguage. The rooms of all children will be close to each other with a tutor staying on the same floor. Please note that there's a strong tradition of children participating in FPDC classes - thus the whole community respects them and supports them. There's always place for the children in the first row at the classes.
Camp participants should take with them a comfortable, loose outfit for dancing and light sneakers.
In case of bad weather, please pack a spare pair of shoes (it's better to change them to avoid bringing mud/water to the hall).
We recommend taking extra towels (there's only one provided by the hostel and it's good to have spare for exchange, taking it to workshops or for swimming pool).
As there will be a pool on the camp grounds and a trip to Aquapark is planned, don't forget to take a swimsuit as well.
The price of the camp doesn’t include transportation. As there will be food-trucks, beverages stands, gift-shops and barbecue zone at the campus, it's good to give your child some pocket money.
Underage attendees who will be accommodated at the campus must provide certain documents:
- INFORMATION CARD - Filled-in by a parent/legal guardian - please send the scan to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 10. July 2017. Take the original document with you and give it to your asigned camp tutor at the 1st day of the event! This is VERY important!
- CARE RESIGNATION FORM - if you have your own adult guardian at the camp and don't want to be under our care, please send scan of this document filled in and signed by your parent/legal guardian and by temporary care taker of lawful age no later than 20. June 2017. Take the original document with you and leave it at the registration point at the 1st day of the camp.
- PARENT'S CONSENT - underage participants under FPDC care, who want to be accommodated with an adult or with person of an oposite sex are obligated to provide special parent's consent (printed, filled in and signed by the parent/guardian; scan sent no later than 20 June 2017; please take the original document with you and give it to your asigned camp tutor at the 1st day of the event). If the consent will not be provided on time, the participant will be accommodated according to general camp rules and we do not guarantee that it can be change during the event.
